Pumpkin Cloud Dough

My sweet girl, who is now 3 years old, started preschool this year. And she is loving it!! She can't wait to eat breakfast so we can leave for school. She has made new friends, loves singing and dancing, playing outside and absolutely loves her teachers. (Her teachers are AMAZING I might add. We are beyond blessed.)

One her favorite "stations" during playtime at school is the sensory station. Sensory Integration is something we have been working on with my girl for quite sometime. Each week the sensory station consists of new things. And each week she has done awesome with them.

I love to do fun sensory activities at home as well. Check out my other posts for more great ideas..."Smelly" Glitter Playdough or Jelly Beadz Sensory Fun. More coming soon too!!

Now that Fall is in full swing, Fall fun activities are in order. While I may not be a cold weather girl, I do love fall time! I am an "all things pumpkin" kinda girl... homemade pumpkin spiced latte, pumpkin bread, pumpkin muffins, chocolate chip pumpkin cookies. If you bring me pumpkin anything I will be your best friend. Ha!

I thought it would be fun to create a "Pumpkin Bakery" last weekend. And so the creation of "Pumpkin Cloud Dough" was formed. Oh my!! This was so much fun!! The weather was perfect for playing outside, so we set up the "bakery" on her picnic table. We played for hours and hours. Little did she know, this fun dough was supporting her immune system as we played. Who knows Thieves essential oil? It is a MUST in our home AT ALL TIMES. School is back in session... Don't be without Thieves essential oil!!! I would rather use my time off for vacation and fun, wouldn't you? ;)

Ingredients:

  • 7 cups flour
  • 1 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • pumpkin pie spice (find in the spice isle or here
  • 1/2 cup powdered orange sidewalk chalk (find here)
  • 5-7 drops of Thieves essential oil (get 100% pure therapeutic essential oils here)

Directions:
  • Add 4 pieces of orange chalk to a ziplock bag. Beat the heck out of that chalk until its a powder. Your kiddos will love it!!

  • Next add the dry ingredients to a large bowl and combine.

  • Now add the vegetable oil and Thieves essential oil. Mix to combine. Adjust as needed to get the moldable consistency you like.

  • Have fun creating "All Things Pumpkin!!" Don't mind the Easter bunny apron. It's her "craft apron." :)
